Historique

Chétikoi.tv fut mis en oeuvre par le chargé du projet Studio Libre de la Maison des jeunes de Carleton, Sébastien Dubois. Entre 2005 et 2007, la Maison des jeunes de Carleton a obtenu une subvention du Fonds régional d’investissement jeunesse pour un projet intitulé Studio libre, qui offrait aux jeunes un accès gratuit à un équipement de production et un encadrement pour la réalisation de vidéos. Accompli en collaboration avec l’école secondaire Antoine-Bernard de Carleton, le projet a permis à 303 élèves de mener à terme un travail scolaire d’envergure, dans le cadre de leur cours en arts dramatiques. En effet, en deux ans, c’est 67 courts-métrages qui ont été produits par des élèves de troisième secondaire. Huit d’entre eux ont été projetés et récompensés lors du Gala « À dos de films », qui se tenait au Quai des Arts de Carleton, événement qui a permis de faire valoir les talents des jeunes participants auprès des citoyens et des parents.

À la suite de cette belle réussite, la Maison des jeunes de Carleton décida de parrainer le projet Chétikoi.tv, la Webtélé jeunesse. Dès le début de nos démarches, nous avons bénéficié d'un appui du CEFRIO (Centre francophone d'informatisation des organisations) dans le cadre des MRC Innovantes : l'utilisation des TI et d'Internet en appui au développement rural. Nous avons créé un comité de partenaires réunissant André-François Landry (Osmose Interactif), Éric Proulx (productions la Semelle Verte), Antoine Audet (CEFRIO), Patricia Chartier (Maison des jeunes de Carleton) et Sébastien Dubois (coordonnateur de projet).

Raison d'être

L’avenir des jeunes, particulièrement ceux des municipalités rurales, passe inévitablement par un accès aux nouvelles technologies qui aident grandement à briser l’isolement et à s’intégrer, entre autres au marché du travail. Chétikoi.tv veut permettre une appropriation des technologies liées à la production vidéo par une large frange de jeunes qui vivent dans des régions où l’accessibilité aux technologies est moins répandue. Elle cherche à mettre en valeur le potentiel humain des jeunes, à développer un sentiment d’appartenance et, ainsi, augmenter leur estime personnelle. Chétikoi.tv comporte donc plusieurs aspects innovants. La formation et l’expérience acquise en réalisation vidéo offrent aux jeunes la possibilité d’apprivoiser diverses technologies, de développer des connaissances techniques et d'améliorer leurs aptitudes relationnelles. Chétikoi.tv est une plateforme dédiée à la relève, afin qu'elle puisse jouer son rôle de citoyen.

Chétikoi.tv est un extraordinaire laboratoire créatif accessible partout et par tous. Avec son caractère innovant, notre webtélé mobilise les jeunes autour de leurs préoccupations tout en leur permettant d'acquérir de nombreuses compétences liées aux technologies de l'information et de communication. Dans le contexte économique actuel et avec la diminution de la disponibilité des ressources naturelles, plusieurs acteurs de notre milieu tentent de trouver des alternatives afin d'encourager l'émergence de nouveaux modèles de développement économique. À ce titre, nous voulons participer à ce déploiement en contribuant à la formation des jeunes pour qu'ils puissent s'épanouir et participer activement à la diversification et à l'enrichissement général de notre collectivité.

En contribuant au réseautage des jeunes de notre région à l'ensemble du Québec, voire à toute la Francophonie, nous participons à l'émancipation de ceux-ci en créant un partage d'idées, de cultures et en leur offrant des perspectives nouvelles pour leur avenir. Grâce aux nouvelles technologies, nos jeunes deviendront des diffuseurs d'informations et participeront activement à la vie de nos communautés.

Mission

Chétikoi.tv est une webtélé qui vise l'insertion socioprofessionnelle des jeunes en leur offrant la possibilité de réaliser des reportages et des courts-métrages. Le contenu se veut à la fois ludique, éducatif et engageant.

Objectifs

Diffuser des vidéos réalisées pour et par des jeunes;
Favoriser l’implication active des jeunes;
Encourager la production de vidéos par des jeunes désireux d’acquérir de nouvelles compétences : montage, production artistique, etc.;
Soutenir l'inclusion des jeunes dans leur communauté et sur le marché du travail en développant leurs habiletés, leurs compétences et leurs connaissances sociales et professionnelles;
Sensibiliser la population aux réalités jeunesse et valoriser les talents de la région;
Offrir un outil pour soutenir le développement régional;
Mobiliser la collaboration des partenaires jeunesse autour d’un projet novateur;
Permettre aux jeunes citoyens de s’exprimer, de développer leur implication sociale, leur estime personnelle et leur sens des responsabilités;
Réseauter les jeunes de la Gaspésie avec l'ensemble de la Francophonie.
